Groovy Art Workshops offers interns a chance to join our team on a part time basis. We provide successful candidates with invaluable experience of working in an exciting and demanding environment. Successful candidates have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of the GAW’s activities during their internship, which will usually last for three months. Although we actively encourage creative approaches to contribute to any aspect of our work, our interns most often work on:
· Research - Working with an individual GAW researcher or project team, being involved in desk, literary and web research. · Office administration - Interns will be an essential part of a busy office helping run the day to day working of the office, assisting with such tasks as mail-outs, photocopying and first contact to the office.
We look for people showing a strong commitment to the arts, particularly community based practices. Applicants should either be graduates in arts management or related field or, if self-educated, have an equivalent level of experience. Potential interns must be able to commit to the full agreed period and show reliability and punctuality, pro-active and independent with a friendly manner. All our internships are unpaid; however we offer arts industry training experience, travel expenses and opportunity to be part of a team developing stimulating projects to our clients.
Bringing together our fundraising, communications, marketing and research; we seek individuals to assist us in developing our fundraising and marketing ventures.
